Free Sports Game Preview and Prediction: North Texas vs. Temple
Sunday, March 09, 2025 2:00 PM
Play: Point Spread: -5.5/-110 North Texas
***Joe D is ON FIRE: 7-1 L8 NBA, 7-1 L8 NCAAB, 4-1 L5 NHL. As I am not here to give you action. I am here to give you winners, and don’t love anything today, I am passing. Great time to take advantage of a BIG DISCOUNTED PKG. Back tomorrow with more winning information. Sunday’s FREE WINNER: North Texas Mean Green. Game 787. 11:00 AM PST/2:00 PM EST. North Texas is laying points on the road for good reason. They currently sit in second place in the AAC at 14-3, and can lock up the No. 2 spot in the conference with a victory here today. No one can catch the top team in the American Athletic Conference, Memphis. However just behind UNT at 13-4 is UAB, who plays today in a tough game on the road at Tulane. The Mean Green split out two games against the Blazers this season. But a victory here will ensure them sole possession of the second seed in the conference. They enter this matchup red-hot, winning seven straight games straight up, and going 5-2 ATS during that span. While the Temple Owls are good at home at 11-2 at the Liacouras Center, and have won and covered their last two contests, overall, this team just falls short. The best player on both rosters is Jamal Mashburn, who is questionable (check status, hasn’t seen action since February 12), and owns a very impressive offense, they go against the third-best defense in college basketball. That's right, North Texas allows just 59.3 points per game, on 41% shooting overall from the floor, 30.5% from downtown, and ranks second nationally on the defensive boards. By the way, I also see them and their sharpshooting three-point shooting offense, lighting up the scoreboard against one of the worst perimeter “D’s” in college basketball. Take the Mean Green. Thank you.
